Solar Solutions: Global Trends and Local Efforts

On June 21st, the Summer Solstice, more sunlight will strike Texas than any other day of the year. In fact, the solar energy that reaches Texas on this day is greater than 3,500 times amount of energy that Texas consumes in one year. What better time to discuss the "big picture" regarding solar power in Texas

The upcoming Austin Clean Tech Forum event is focused on Solar Solutions for the State of Texas. It will take a look at the economic opportunity for the state of Texas in solar and compare it with other leading solar geographies such as Germany, Japan, and California. Global experts in solar, including the architect of the German solar program and a leading Japanese solar manufacturer will elucidate the role their markets have had in the growth of the global solar industry, a leading equity analyst will share his insights on the state of the global solar market, and local solar companies will enlighten us on the success of the Austin market program and the opportunity in Texas.

Finally, the University of Texas’ Bureau for Business Research will unveil its solar study entitled “Opportunity on the Horizon: Photovoltaics in Texas” at this event.

Please join us at this joint meeting between SolarAustin, SEMI, and The Austin Clean Tech Forum for an enlightening discussion with our panel with some special guests who will be in attendance.
