Tatianna Cannon, Austin Chapter Co-Chair / Strategic Partner

Tatianna serves as the Executive Director of Solar Austin and brings a wealth of community development knowledge to the Austin Chapter of CleanTX.


Carol Cabbiness, Community Coordinator

Carol Cabbiness is the founder of Green Hawk Business Services, a company specializing in helping eco-conscious businesses improve their profits, cash position, and employee pay - all while increasing their ability to fulfill their mission of environmental renewal. During her extensive career, she has helped many businesses optimize their finances and operations, with a particular passion for guiding green building, renewable energy and climate tech businesses. Carol holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University.  She is certified with The CFO Project, Profit First Professional Advisors, Fix This Next Advisors and QuickBooks Online.

Carol enjoys visiting state parks and experiencing the natural world including camping, hiking, canoeing, and fishing. As a former Girl Scout, she follows the principle of “leaving the world a better place than you found it.”


Juan Afanador, Austin Chapter Co-Chair / Strategic Partner

Juan Afanador is a seasoned solar professional passionate about the sustainable development of an equitable, low-carbon "green" economy, with energy digitization and democratization at its forefront. Juan's passion landed him at Stem (NYSE: STEM), the world leader in artificial intelligence energy storage management, working in partner operations.

Juan is a director at Solar Austin - a nonprofit promoting education and equitable adoption of solar in Central Texas. Previously, Juan worked in sales and market development roles for solar and storage projects with Fimer, an Italian hardware manufacturer, and nationwide distributors such as Soligent and a startup called CivicSolar. Juan is also well-versed in balancing conservation and development in Latin America through his work affiliations with Fair Trade USA, the World Bank, and the Natural Resources Defense Council. Juan grew up in Bogota, Colombia and the SF Bay area. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has called Austin home since 2019.
