SUMMARY OF ROLE

SunPower has been a leading partner to the New Home Builder Channel for the last 10+ years.  We serve builders by acting as the Solar experts for their homebuyers: answering questions, providing solar educations, guiding them through point of sale to system turn on. As a SunPower New Homes Customer Service Representative, you are our customers main point of contact regarding system activation and turn on. You will guide customers from their new home closing to flipping the switch and powering up their systems.

We are seeking a Customer Service Rep to support our new homebuyers through the exciting journey to get their solar system turned on and producing energy and savings!  To succeed in this role, an individual must possess a customer service-focused mindset and personality, understand the key role they play in the sales process, and work well as a team with both internal and external sales representatives. As a representative of SunPower, you will be the voice of the company and personifies the excitement we feel each time another person decides to go solar!

Description:

Maintains direct contact with customers before and/or after the sale. Supports sales team by developing and maintaining positive customer relations with clients/customers, which can substantially affect service and/or product revenue(s). Works with various departments to meet maintenance services sales goals. Works with customers and/or distributors to receive accurate account of equipment failures and provides reports to management. Focus of work may be in pre-sale or post-sales or both.

  • Requires minimal supervision unless problems arise or as departmental goals and/ or tasks change.
  • Displays initiative and judgment in arranging job activities to achieve objectives.
  • Proactively advises and updates group regarding data analysis and reporting status.
  • Prepares complex reports and maintains complicated records requiring careful selection, classification or compilation of information from several sources.
  • Ability to train others in usage of data and software systems as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree and 6+ years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience.
