Monica Avila, Executive Assistant, CleanTX
Monica Avila is a seasoned Executive Assistant with over 10 years of experience in the field, she’s held both administrative and operational roles throughout her career where she’s honed her experience in project management, people development, and successful C-suite Executive Administrative Assistance. She thrives in helping Executives stay organized knowing they have all the support they need so they can fully focus on what they do best.
Monica holds a Technical degree in Aquaculture, a Bachelor of Administration, and a Master’s degree in Human Resources. She enjoys spending time with her dogs, studying languages, cooking, and traveling in her free time.
Jennifer Isenberg, CleanTX Events Coordinator
Jennifer is a native Texan and has spent 20 years in the Capital City
With a degree from Texas Tech University in hand, she has built a diverse background in management, marketing communications, business development, OEM relationships, customer experience, meeting and conference planning.
She has served on the Board of the International Live Events Association chapter in Austin and is currently a non-voting Board member of the Capital Area Tennis Association (CATA) and the social engagement committee member for USTA Texas.
Jennifer is excited to help accelerate the growth of renewables and clean technology in Texas.
Peter Kelly-Detwiler CleanTX Renewable & Clean Technology Expert
Peter Kelly-Detwiler has 30 years of experience in the electric energy industry, with much of his career in competitive power markets. A former VP of Demand Response at Constellation Energy, he’s currently a leading consultant in the electric industry, providing strategic advice to clients and investors, helping them to navigate the rapid evolution of the electric power grid. Mr. Kelly-Detwiler offers numerous keynotes and workshops on a wide range of topics. He has also written widely on energy issues for Forbes.com and GE, with over 300 articles to his credit. His book on the transformation of electric power markets - “The Energy Switch” - was published by Prometheus Books in June of 2021.
Chip Conant, Chapter Strategic Planning, CleanTech Fellow
Chip is a first year MBA student at the McCombs School of Business concentrating on clean tech and the renewable energy industry. Prior to business school, Chip worked for an energy efficiency services company in financial planning and analysis.
His background also includes time in the Oil & Gas industry working in the treasury group for a major midstream pipeline company. Chip came to CleanTX through the CleanTech Fellows program at McCombs and will work on chapter strategy throughout the spring.
Zack Grossenbacher, Communications, CleanTech Fellow
Zack Grossenbacher grew up in Jackson, MS. He earned a Master's Degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications from the University of Mississippi. After graduating he worked in non-profit communications for a variety of community development and healthcare organizations. He then segued to a career in technology sales, working in industries including edtech, payments, and clean tech.
Recently he returned to school to pursue an MBA at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. At McCombs, Zack is pursuing a career in strategy consulting. He serves as both a CleanTech Fellow and an Operations Fellow and sits on the Executive Board of the CleanTech Group.
Gaby Hoey, CleanTX Graphic Designer
Although, not an original Austinite, Gaby Hoey has made Austin her home for quite a few years now. She has been creating since she was young and has been in the designing and art directing field for over 15 years. She is driven by a belief that design and creativity solves problems, making for a better user experience and a better world. Her innovative design, eye for detail, and design empathy have brought her international recognition and awards from Graphis, LogoLounge, and more. She received her BFA in Communication Design at Texas State and has worked and collaborated with clients such as MSNBC, Boys & Girls Club of America, Chuy's, Lone Star Rail District, and more.
