The Electrification of Mobility, Autonomy and Implications for the Grid
Presented by Energy Innovation Hub TX in partnership with CleanTX
The electrification of mobility is arguably the most significant trend driving the global energy transition. With EVs adding 830 TWh to global load by 2030 (far more than data centers) the electrification of transport is adding new complexity and demand to grid. Simultaneously, EVs and charging centers can be a significant source of grid flexibility solutions - from managed EV charging to vehicle-to-grid dispatch.
While this presents one of the most exciting and potentially disruptive areas of innovation for the grid, the emerging solutions are not uniform. Distinct requirements are developing across consumer, commercial, and long-haul segments. Different players must adapt to different constraints, including localized grid requirements, diverse customer preferences, interconnection queues, and site-acquisition challenges.
From consumer focused fast-charging hubs or third-party hosting models, to electric freight solutions and autonomous trucks, a wide variety of business models and strategies are taking shape.
Please join us for an evening of drinks, hors d’oeuvres, connection and discussion. The evening’s panel convenes leading executives from the space to discuss how these emerging technologies and business models are transforming a major new load into a flexible grid asset.
As always, come for the discussion, stay for the food, drink, networking and vibes! In partnership with CleanTX, this event is generously sponsored by Electra, Helm Corporate Real Estate, Pillsbury Law and JPMorgan.
