Victor Carr Austin Energy

Victor T. Carr Jr serves as Austin Energy’s IT Operations Division Manager overseeing infrastructure and communications technologies. In this operations and leadership role, Victor looks for ways to leverage technology to enhance productivity and create efficiencies to support daily operations. Victor has 14 years of experience with Austin Energy, previous experience with Dell and Compaq, and has also worked for two universities. 

Victor has supported several innovative and collaborative projects, including his work developing vehicle to grid technologies and vehicle communications during the pioneering phases of vehicle electrification, and enterprise telephony transitions with Austin Energy, Huston-Tillotson University, and Morris Brown College. His latest endeavor was the technical support for the island of Puerto Rico during power restoration efforts.

Victor is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Cisco Certified Academy Instructor. In his spare time he enjoys being a little league football coach, community mental health advocate, and father of four, and was recently awarded the “Man of the Year” honor at First Baptist Church, NBC.

Cody Guidry Younicos

 is currently serving as Business Development Manager for Younicos. The company is a pioneer in energy storage solutions with over 220MWs deployed in 40 projects worldwide, they were acquired by Aggreko in late 2017.

In his role, Cody is responsible for developing business in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean for Younicos. He has spent most of the past 8 years in the energy storage industry dating back to Xtreme Power in 2010. Cody came to the commercial team in 2018 after spending his prior years in the engineering and operations groups for the company.

In his previous role Cody served as Head of Operations Engineering, which includes Systems Assembly and Integration, Industrial Engineering, EPC development, and Facilities Management. In total, he has managed or played a key role in the deployment of over 70MW of energy storage globally.

Jose Trevino CPS Energy

Jose began his career at CPS Energy in 2010 as a Maintenance & Operations Engineer after serving our country in the U.S. Navy for nearly a decade. He is currently the Director of Customer Engineering Services and Scheduling. Jose served as the Mutual Assistance Coordinator for CPS Energy since 2015 and has led CPS Energy crews on a number of storm restoration responses in communities all across our nation.  As the mutual assistance coordinator, Jose was involved with mutual aid discussions for Puerto Rico since the storm hit the island and was part of the 3-person reconnaissance team that visited the island in late October 2017.

Alan Shuffield Austin Energy

Alan Shuffield has been with Austin Energy since 1995 and previously worked with Electric Utility Contractors. Alan is a certified Journeyman Lineman and he currently serves as a Distribution Electrician Supervisor for System Maintenance and Restoration. In Puerto Rico Alan served as a Production Lead where his role was to manage Incident Command communication between PREPA and the field crews.
