O&M Transformation
Sarah Herman is a Senior Manager of O&M Transformation at SunPower Corporation. She manages the execution of cross-functional projects that aim to improve processes within the O&M organization. Previously, she managed the Remote Operations Control Center, a 24/7 operations center that monitors and maintains the performance of SunPower utility-scale plants with a combined rated capacity of over 1 GWac. Prior to this, Sarah managed the performance and performance testing of the SunPower Commercial Fleet of approximately 330 MWp total rated capacity for 2 years. She has extensive experience in renewable energy, particularly in solar and wind energy. Sarah spent 5 years as an independent engineer at the consulting firm DNV GL. There she provided independent engineering services for more than 100 projects, totaling an estimated 10,000 MW of rated project capacity in North America. Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Michigan, and in 2006 completed the Energy Tomorrow Study Abroad Program at the University of New South Wales in Australia. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
