Michael Macias
Vice President of Operations
ETT

Michael Macias is the Vice President of Operations for Electric Transmission Texas, LLC (ETT), a joint venture between subsidiaries of American Electric Power (AEP) and Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company (BHE). ETT acquires, constructs, owns and operates transmission facilities within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). ETT’s capital investment has over $3 billion in transmission assets.

Prior to his role as Vice President of Operations for ETT, Mr. Macias held positions of increasing responsibility throughout the past 14 years at ETT as a Senior Technical Project Lead and within AEP in field operations and transmission asset management. Mr. Macias was a leader in the development and execution of ETT’s $3 billion growth from 2009 to present, and has been involved with many advanced technology projects within the transmission utility business. 

Mr. Macias earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University. He also is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas and holds a Project Management Professional certification. He and his wife, Stephanie, have two children and reside in Austin, Texas.
