Mary C. Palmer works at Austin Energy where she specializes in renewable energy programs. Through her work, Mary accelerates the adoption of renewable energy in the Austin area through working with commercial and residential customers and the contractor community. In her role, she focuses on strategic planning, process optimization, emerging technology implementation, and community engagement to grow the City of Austin’s renewable energy programs. Austin Energy has a goal of achieving 65% renewable energy by 2027. Prior to working at Austin Energy, Mary worked in the non-profit sector for public policy and sustainable development, including feasibility studies, goal development and measurement and project management. Mary is also currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at Texas State University. Mary is passionate about being a catalyst for continuous improvement within the Renewable Energy Solutions group.
