Rebecca Taylor is the Director of Sustainability at the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) where she supports ATI member companies in the Circular Economy, Energy, Food & AgTech, Mobility, and Water industries. She is also an Executive in Residence at ATI and an Advisor to Fountech. Ventures and an Industry Fellow at UT Austin’s Ethics Project.

Rebecca has 35 years of experience inventing new technologies, forming startups, building committed teams, and raising funds. She has led advanced development and strategy efforts at organizations from very small start-up companies to large multinationals and has served in senior advisory roles at the U.S. Department of State. She has also executed and advised on monetization involving licensing, venture capital investing, sales negotiations, and expanded market opportunities.

Rebecca is an inventor and holds several patents. Her creations include technology that makes phones smarter. She is a Senior Member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and holds a BS in Computer Science from Iowa State University and a Master of Public Affairs from the UT Austin LBJ School of Public Policy. Additionally, she is certified as a Winemaker by the University of California – Davis.
