Extensive background includes project management, engineering management, transmission operations, transmission planning, generation interconnection, distribution planning, distributed generation interconnection, subsynchronous oscillations (SSO/SSR), geomagnetic disturbances, transient analysis, insulation coordination, surge arrester application, Electro Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP) analysis, switching analysis, wheeling impact, loss analysis, training, employee development and engineering budget analysis.

Has long term proven leadership, management, planning and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure; ability to resolve ambiguity; entrepreneurial approach; and a high-level perspective on strategic versus tactical imperatives.

Able to set and manage priorities including planning, implementation, and support systems in a complex deregulated electric market environment. Experience with system planning, operations, market design, compliance and protocol development in an ISO/RTO environment. Experience working in stakeholder groups with diverse interests to achieve positive results.

Excellent technical, conceptual, and financial skills with the ability to comprehend new complex, technical subjects. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical language to lay audiences. Strong interpersonal relationship building abilities and able to relate to all levels of the stakeholder community. Team player that motivates and helps educate other team members to accomplish goals.
