Danielle Murray is a Principal Consultant specializing in Electrification Strategies and Programs, currently working with Electric Power Engineers and Rebalance Energy Strategy, LLC. Based in Austin, Texas, Danielle leverages over two decades of expertise in renewable energy, distributed generation, and energy policy to drive innovative solutions and advance electrification initiatives.

Before her current roles, Danielle served as Manager of Commercial & Key Accounts at Austin Energy, focusing on strategic relationships and customer engagement. Previously, as Manager of Customer Renewable Energy Solutions, she led the utility’s distributed generation and green power programs, including the wind-based GreenChoice program, Community Solar program, solar incentives, and DER integration. Danielle also played a pivotal role in shaping solar policy, rates, and inspection processes.

Prior to her tenure at Austin Energy, Danielle was the Renewable Energy Program Manager for the City and County of San Francisco, spearheading efforts to develop the local solar market, coordinating wind, wave, and district energy research, and chairing the Mayor’s Renewable Energy Task Force. Her earlier career included work with the City of Toronto’s Energy Office, where she designed and implemented the Toronto Neighborhoods Initiative, providing grants and loans for solar water heating and energy efficiency. Additionally, she has worked for the Earth Policy Institute in Washington, D.C., and has held various volunteer and fellowship positions in Africa.

Danielle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and dual Master’s degrees in Planning and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advancing clean energy and sustainable practices worldwide.
