Mr. Kirkpatrick is a Vice President for ABZ, Inc. Mr. Kirkpatrick has over twenty-five years of experience in generation, transmission and regulation for the utility and energy industry. He works with customers to improve their business processes through the successful attainment and implementation of resources and solutions. He has worked with one of the largest renewable energy companies in North America working on the implementation of compliance programs and start-up of renewable wind farms. This included developing operating procedures, training field personnel, collecting compliance evidence and going through regional audits. 

Prior to joining ABZ Incorporated, Mr. Kirkpatrick was the Vice President of Utility and Energy Compliance Services for a leading compliance software company. He has worked with some of the largest energy companies including utilities, independent power producers, and cooperatives in North America helping them to implement NERC and cybersecurity (CIP) compliance solutions. 

Mr. Kirkpatrick was also responsible for implementing the NERC compliance program at a large northeast utility for three operating companies. His team developed the compliance policies and procedures for all of the registered entities under that utility that included Transmission Owner, Transmission Operator, Generation Owner, Generation Operator and Distribution Provider. 

In previous roles, Mr. Kirkpatrick worked for the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) regional entity and served as Chairman of the NPCC Compliance Committee.
